Cool Blog!!!

I agree with your comments! Here are two great example of how local people can get more than biofuels from their plantation.

http://growjatropha.blogspot.com/2011/04/intercropping-ginseng-with-jatropha-for.html

http://growjatropha.blogspot.com/2011/04/growing-jatropha-as-polyculture.html

Furthermore utilisation of the byproducts of biofuel production can also bring industry to some of the poorest parts of India

http://biodieselsoap.blogspot.com

This next clip shows Jatropha in India... monoculture and underutilisation of the plant because the view is biofuelcentric not holistic!

biodiesel should be the stuff that we should put on our engines because it is a renewable fuel :

its indeed great work,I however believe that biofuels is the solution for the developing countries, from providing employment to a bulk of its unemployed youths to providing cheaper energy solutions.what needs to be debated is, governments getting involved to regulate programs, ensuring food security for the poor is not tampered with.

Good post
The pitfulls of biofuels are well known. Its hard to justify when developers are razing forests and sensitve ecosystems for plantations. Turning plants into fuel is often more polutting than burning petrol! Using crops for fuel when millions are starving just doesn,t seem right
